About the joint committee
America 250 in The Villages is made possible through the work of a Joint Committee representing four community organizations in The Villages dedicated to patriotism, education, service, and historic preservation.
John Bartram Chapter, NSDAR
The John Bartram Chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR) honors the legacy of those who contributed to America’s founding and independence. DAR members are descended from patriots who supported the cause of independence, and the organization is dedicated to historic preservation, education, and patriotism. The chapter meets monthly at 10am on the 3rd Fridays of the month and is proud to be part of the Joint Committee supporting this America 250 celebration.

Chartered on October 15, 1994, the chapter is active in a wide range of community service projects, with a special commitment to supporting veterans and disadvantaged children in nearby communities. Its programs are varied and engaging, and field trips help enrich the experience of its members.
The Villages Chapter, NSSAR
The Villages Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution is part of a national, nonpartisan organization dedicated to patriotism, historic preservation, and education. The chapter actively supports veterans and active-duty military, volunteers in the community, and helps bring American history to life through educational programs, classroom support, and reenactment opportunities for young people. The chapter meets at 10am on the 2nd Saturday of each month in The Villages.
